We’re on hiatus!

We’re on hiatus!

Although it may be obvious at this point, the Art History Blog is on hiatus. My fellow blog writer and I have now graduated from college and are finishing up our first years as full-blown museum professionals — which means that while we still, of course, love art history with every fiber of our beings, it’s a little harder to write solid, worthy posts for this blog after our art-history-filled work days!

We’ll pop in every so often with a post and will hopefully one day be back to posting regularly, so keep us on your bookmarks. Till then, you can follow either of us at our respective museums on Twitter at MAM_Chelsea (me) or NBMAA (Alexander), and check out some of the other art history blogs that won awards for being a top art/art history blog this year, below. In addition, feel free to get in touch with us if you like. Thank you so much for your support of this blog!

New Layout: Patience Please!

New Layout: Patience Please!

Although we’ve had a bit of a hiatus for the past month or so, we’ll be back to posting soon. For now, I’m implementing a new layout — and ask for your patience, as there will likely be some bugs as I work to fix it live. This new layout should present some exciting new possibilities for the site, and I look forward to posting some new thoughts very soon! Until then, thanks for understanding. Let us know what you think of the new layout in a few days when it’s complete!

The Art History Blog returns in May

The Art History Blog returns in May

Hi everyone!

I should have written a post sooner about the fact that I have been studying abroad in Italy and therefore not very good about posting up here. This summer, however, I will be working on this blog very diligently and there should be lots of interesting things to see and read here, since I’ll be living in New York City! I’m planning on lots of museum visits and other interesting things to put in this blog, so get excited.

I’m going to start updating this site on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and once on the weekend in MAY, so there should be lots of things to read.

Until then, I’m off to travel and enjoy my last few weeks in Europe… See you in May!
