Odd news of the day: Lifetime’s making a straight-to-TV movie about none other than Georgia O’Keeffe, which premieres on September 19. My first reaction: Oh dear. Seconds later: I’m definitely still skeptical. If you’re brave enough, set your DVRs, art buffs. My guess is this won’t be PBS-quality… but it might still be amusing.

This should be a good movie. Or I hope it is anyway.

Small world! I am not familiar with Georgia O’Keeffe’s art, but as it happened, I mentioned her name in a post just recently.
My man, Alfred Stieglitz, was shown a portfolio of drawings by an unknown artist named Georgia O’Keeffe. He loved her art, and without meeting O’Keeffe, he made plans to exhibit her work in his own famous studios. Stieglitz was married at the time, but apparently he later divorced his own wife and married O’Keeffe.
If you see the film, report back to say whether it was filled with art, or not. Thanks :)
